Wedding Services FAQ's

Who has the copyright of the images?

Every photographer retains the copyright of their own images. However, my packages include a licence whereby you can print them as many times as you like and are free to use them for unlimited personal use.

How can I see the photographs?
You can view these on your password-protected viewing gallery on this website. All the pictures will be available to view after approximately six to eight weeks after the wedding. The lead time for albums can take around 4-6 weeks as we personally design them, and they are imported from Portugal.

How many pictures will I get?
This depends on the size and duration of your wedding but there is no upper limit.

Do you photograph same-sex couple weddings?
Yes – I do.

Can I tell you what groups we would like photographed?
Yes, and we will plan which groups these will be before the event to make the most of the time on the day.

Do you charge travel expenses?
Yes – but this will already be taken into account in my quote to yourselves.

What happens if it rains on our wedding day?
Don’t panic! I carry lots of umbrellas, and I will still shoot as much as possible outside and in covered areas. If going outside is not a possibility, then I will take photographs indoors. But please keep in mind that rain is not a problem as we can get some seriously epic shots in the rain.

Do I need to feed you?
Yes please. I’d ask that you provide food and drink (non-alcoholic) for us when you sit down for your meal. We will sit away from your guests’ dining area.

How long will it take to receive my photos/video?
Photographs will be uploaded to your online gallery within 6 to 8 weeks from the wedding day (this may be longer in peak periods). Your USB will be delivered within 21 days from the wedding date (this may be longer in peak periods). Videos: The editing process can take 8 – 10 weeks as your wedding film is carefully worked on (this may be longer in peak periods).

Is it possible to order an album after the event?
Yes, of course. The price of the album is not affected so if you choose at a later date to have an album printed I would be more than happy to quote and supply you with the design of your choice.

What kind of equipment do you use?
I use a Nikon Z9, 2 x Z6ii’s, and have a Nikon Z5 as a backup.

I’m not keen on having my photos shared online or used for advertising purposes. Is this a problem for you?
This is not a problem at all. Over the years, I have photographed several weddings where a partner is in the police or other public services. In these cases, no images or updates etc. are posted on social media or this site. Final images are edited and uploaded for proofing purposes into a hidden and protected site for the client only. Once approval of the images has been given and the client has received the USB and albums, all files can also be destroyed at your request. Though make sure you have some form of backup as I will not be able to recover the images at a later date.

Are you insured?
Yes, I am, and the certificate will be forwarded to you upon booking as your venue will require a copy of it.

How do I book you?
Please complete the form on the ‘Contact’ page, and I will confirm my availability and arrange a Zoom meeting or call with you. I will give you a booking form which you will need to complete and pay a non-refundable booking fee of £400 (card/cash/cheque/BACS) which will secure your day.

When do you require the final balance?
The remaining balance is due 30 days before your wedding date.

What if I need to cancel or re-arrange the wedding date
As I have to turn away other potential customers for your wedding date, the booking fee is non-refundable. In the event of cancellation after the main balance has been paid, the balance cannot be refunded, unless I can source an alternative booking for the same date. If the date of your event needs to change due to other reasons, including Government imposed restrictions, and I am still available, there will be no extra charge.
