The Evening Reception of Donna & Peter
I had the pleasure of capturing the Watermill Hotel Wedding (www.hotelwatermill.co.uk) reception of Peter and Donna in Hemel Hempstead.
The Watermill Hotel is built around an old flour mill. It has gorgeous panoramic views of the River Bulbourne that threads through the property.
Their daughter had been the photographer for the day. I took over so that she could enjoy herself with her family.
The couple took to the dancefloor to perform their first dance. A few moments later, the rest of their families joined them.
It was then time for the party to begin.
My wife and eldest daughter were also guests, so of course, I had to grab a photo.

There were some funny looks all around with the wedding gifts that had been given.
Whilst the bride and groom had a rest, I spent some time getting photos of guests.
And who doesn’t love a good selfie… 🙂
The celebrations went long into the night. Everyone had a great time and by the end, even my feet were aching from dancing. I’d highly recommend the Watermill for intimate weddings. The additional bonus is that it is also a hotel, so you and your guests can stay the night.
