Milling Barn

The Wedding of Lindsey & Lee

Towards the end of September, I was lucky enough to be back photographing at Milling Barn. Milling Barn is a rustic barn wedding venue in Hertfordshire and is one of my favourites. I’m lucky to be a preferred supplier here and know the grounds and staff well, so it’s always a pleasure to return here.

Bridal Preparations at Milling Barn

Lindsey and her bridal party were already at Milling Barn, putting some finishing touches to the venue and decorations. I made sure to capture all of these small little details.

A fairly recent addition to Milling Barn is their Dressing Room. A beautiful room and a good size for a bridal party and for hair and makeup to take place.

The Arrival of the Groom & Best Man

I’d heard the noise of an car arrive which would be the groom and his best man. Given the volume, I was trying to guess what vehicle it was. I was not disappointed!

Whilst I had the groom and best man, I grabbed a shot of the rings before heading back to the dressing room.

The brides’ brother was giving her away and I was ready to capture the first look before grabbing a family photo with mum.

The wedding guests had begun to arrive and it was soon time for the ceremony.

Before the ceremony began, there was a lovely slideshow of photos covering the story of their love.

After the ceremony was complete, we headed outside for a confetti shot and the drinks reception.

I then took the couple around the grounds of the milling barn wedding venue for their portrait shots before gathering the guests for the group photos.

After the group shots, the guests were called for the wedding breakfast. I headed in first to get shots of the room before the guests arrived.

The guests took their seats to eat for the wedding breakfast, and I returned to capture the speeches.

After the speeches had finished, the evening guests began to arrive. I captured their arrival whilst the room was prepared for the cake cutting and first dance.
