The Wedding of Rachel & Tony
I am a recommended Milling Barn Wedding Photographer, so it was fantastic to be booked to photograph the Wedding of Rachel & Tony at this gorgeous venue (https://www.millingbarn.co.uk/). At this wedding, we provided both photography & videography which included the pilot for our drone to capture the overhead footage.
Upon arrival, rather amusingly the bridal party thought we were the strippers. After a quick setup of Spotify to play “You can keep your hat on”, we knew we were all going to have a great time.
The Bridal Preparations
In the morning, we spent time capturing the wedding preparations as well as the bride’s dress and bouquet, and all the other small details of the day.
Whilst the bridal preparations continued, we grabbed some photos and footage of the ceremony room, along with the fantastic balloon work provided by Natalie at the Balloon Room (https://theballoonroom.net/).
We returned to capture more of the bridal preparations, before preparing the drone and our cameras to capture the arrival of the groom.
The arrival of the groom
With the arrival of the groom, we grabbed a shot with the cars and also close-ups of the wedding rings.
We returned to the bridal party to capture the final preparations before the ceremony along with the first look from the brother of the bride.
The Wedding Ceremony
It was time for the wedding ceremony to begin so we headed into the dairy barn.
The registrars completed their interviews with the Bride & Groom and then it was time for the ceremony to begin.
After the signing of the register, we headed outside for the confetti shot.
It was then time for the drinks reception. The guests had the opportunity to play some garden games whilst we took the couple around the grounds for their wedding portraits.
Remember this guy, he plays an important role later 😉
Background music was also provided by PianoDJ (https://www.pianodj.co.uk/) to keep the wedding guests entertained.
Wedding Portraits & Group Photos
After a few more photos, we returned to the guests for some candid and group shots which were shortly followed by the call for the Wedding Breakfast.
The Wedding Breakfast
This awesome cake was made by the Pretty Gorgeous Cake Company (http://prettygorgeouscakecompany.co.uk/) and looked fab!
Before the Wedding Breakfast, the brother of the bride provided scratchcards to each of the guests.
After the starters and main course, there was a break for the speeches. Little did anyone know that this was all part of a plan to surprise everyone. Just as the speeches began, a waiter fell over spilling cutlery all over the floor. We were on-hand to capture the reaction of the guests.
Which turned in to laughter and surprise, as our ‘waiter’ from earlier was, in fact, part of a duo providing surprise musical entertainment (https://thesingingwaitermasters.co.uk/).
Everyone thought it was fantastic and had a great time. We took a short break before the ‘real’ speeches.
The Evening Reception
After the speeches, the room was prepared for the evening reception.
There was also a surprise saxophonist and bongo player to continue into the evening celebrations.
Though that was not the end of the surprises. Introducing DJ Luck & MC Neat!
We also provided the videography for the wedding, a teaser which you can watch below.
