The Wedding of Darren & Marie
Last week I photographed the wedding of Darren and Marie in Bishop’s Stortford. They had their ceremony at Bishop’s Stortford registry office followed by a reception at Great Hadham Country Club (http://www.greathadham.co.uk/).
24 hours earlier it had been pouring with rain and the outlook was not looking great. However, it was a brilliant surprise to wake up the next day to a morning of glorious sunshine.
The bride was getting ready and was shortly joined by her bridesmaids, all with whom I had a great time exchanging banter on various discussions covering the subject of cakes to rubber ducks!
Whilst hair and makeup were in full flow, I took the opportunity to get shots of the dress, the gorgeous bouquet and shoes.

The wedding car arrived and then I headed to Bishop’s Stortford to meet up with the groom.
The bride arrived shortly after and it was a lovely service with a reading from the bride’s maid of honour.
After the ceremony, we headed outside for the confetti and then made our way to the reception venue.
As the weather wasn’t looking great, we headed outside to get the group shots before the weather changed.
Then the rain came, and so we quickly grabbed some portrait shots before heading back inside for the wedding breakfast followed by the speeches.

After the speeches followed the cake cutting, first dance and a great night of partying!
