The Wedding of Adam & Alicia
On bank holiday Monday, I photographed the wedding of Adam & Alicia at the Gosfield Hall Wedding venue in Essex.
The forecast was for a bright and sunny day – very unusual for a bank holiday! I’d known Adam for some time and looked forward to capturing their wedding day.
I arrived at Gosfield Hall on the morning of the wedding.

My aim is to capture real emotions that unfold in front of me. Here, the bridal party were watching the preparations with the bride.

In between the preparations, I took detailed shots of the flowers, wedding dress and wedding shoes.
The bridal suite at the Gosfield Hall Wedding Venue is stunning. Huge light and airy room.
I was entrusted with handing over the rings to the best men, and so went around the grounds and found them outside, all very relaxed.
Though I’m not quite sure the game was as relaxed as it was meant to be 😉
I scouted around for the groom and found him in the bar!

The final touches were taking place with the bride, and then it was soon for the ceremony to start.

The couple had organised a string quartet for the ceremony entrance. They also provided further musical entertainment throughout the day.

During the drinks reception, I quickly took the couple away for their wedding portraits and as the sun was so strong, we decided that we’d do the family shots after the wedding breakfast.

At the end of the meal, the couple cut the cake and we headed outside to grab the family shots.

After the family and group photographs, we headed inside for the first dance.

The couple also had a special surprise for their guests.
