Covid-19 had effectively put a stop to weddings when the global pandemic started at the beginning of the year. Slowly restrictions are beginning to be lifted, and I was so pleased to be asked to photograph the intimate wedding ceremony for Will & Shreya at Cheshunt Register Office. They plan to have a more significant celebration next year with family & friends.
It was a beautiful day to photograph a wedding in Hertfordshire at Cheshunt Registry Office, and after a short while, the groom, his brothers and their wedding guests arrived.
Social distancing rules meant that the couple had a limited number of guests present. It also presented a slightly new room layout in the Octagonal room where all wedding ceremonies take place.
The guests took their seats in the Octagonal room, and the bride arrived shortly afterwards.
It was time for the wedding ceremony to begin.
The couple had a reading from Will’s brother. They had also written their vows for each other which were beautiful to hear and full of love, respect and dedication to one another.
After the signing of the marriage register, we headed outside into the gardens for a small celebration followed by some family photos.
The guests relaxed and chatted with one another. I then later took the couple around the beautiful grounds of Cheshunt Register Office for the couple portraits.
I then took the couple off for their portraits around the grounds and public areas surrounding Cheshunt Register Office.

It was great as a wedding photographer in Hertfordshire to get back to doing what I love most. If you’re having a small ceremony and are planning for a bigger celebration when circumstances allow, then drop me a note asking about my ‘Now & Then’ deal where I’ll photograph both events at no additional cost.
